Juliana’s Animal Sanctuary and Dogs

At Juliana’s Animal Sanctuary, we come across mistreated and homeless dogs in need of proper care all the time. Colombia is home to many stray and abandoned dogs, forgotten by those who were supposed to care for them.

Our founder, Juliana, has been taking in dogs since she was 5 years old, temporarily housing them in her parents’ apartment where she would take good care of them until she could find them a new home. JAS is still committed to that same compassion and rehabilitation today.

Take Emilio for example. This adorable little creature was found with a terrible case of mange after spending most of his life on the streets of Colombia. JAS was able to heal his skin condition after one year of attentive care and love. We helped him through two separate surgeries for an issue with his spine and today he is in much better condition.

We need your help so that we can take in and care for a lot more dogs like Emilio. Donations go towards their shelter, food, medical supplies, and constant care.

How Many Dogs Do We Have?

Right now at Juliana’s Animal Sanctuary, we have 45 dogs in our care who need your help and support. Each one requires a great detail of care, love, and attention to help rehabilitate and rehome them.

Your donations make a significant difference in these animals’ lives. Take Eden for example. She had to endure the abuse of three men who used her as a toy in their sick games before she was finally rescued. With the help of donations, she was able to undergo five surgeries to help repair the damage to her bones and organs.

No animal should have to go through such traumatic experiences at the hands of human beings. The very least we can do is get dogs the help they need and try to find them a better, loving home.

How big is our sanctuary?

JAS is the first-ever animal sanctuary to open in Colombia set over 2 acres. Since opening 13 years ago, we have had more than 700 animals in our sanctuary and our dedicated and professional team has worked tirelessly to care for and rehabilitate our ever-growing family.

Right now, we have more than 100 animals in our sanctuary that you can help support right now. We offer the very best support we can provide outside the sanctuary too, with a number of initiatives and educational programs aimed to help raise awareness about the proper treatment of animals in Colombia.

Senior Dogs

Juliana’s Animal Sanctuary cares for each and every animal that requires our help, regardless of their age or condition. Here at Juliana’s Animal Sanctuary, we have a number of rescued senior dogs. No dog’s life is worth more or less than any other. We believe senior dogs deserve just as much of a chance at a normal life than any other dog.

With your help, we can ensure senior dogs are able to live out the rest of their lives in peace with as much happiness as possible.

Easy Ways to Help
